FocusRush.com was founded on October 31, 2003 in Virginia Beach, VA after the shutdown of FocusWorld.net. It quickly became the leading site for the Hampton Roads Virginia
area as well as the southern portion of the Mid-Atlantic region. It blossomed to more than 200 registered forum members and in 2005, hosted the first ever FOCUSPALOOZA car
show at Street MotorSports in Chesapeake, Va. After the creator of FocusRush.com transferred from the Hampton Roads area back to his hometown of San Diego, Calif. in 2007,
traffic on the site died off and the dot com domain was lost.
In late 2007, the Rush was resurrected as FocusRush.net and has become the leading Southern California Ford Focus Community. With the majority of the members posting on the
two main focus forums (www.Focaljet.com & www.FocusFanatics.com), the Rush forums never regained the forum traffic it once had, but the membership numbers have still grown.
In 2011, FocusRush.net hosted the 1st Annual Ford Sport Compact West (FSC West) car show in Ventura Calif, boasting quadruple the turnout of FOCUSPALOOZA in 2005. This
show included all Ford Sport Compact cars from Ford, Mercury, Volvo and Mazda and will was such a success that FocusRush will be hosting it again next year with an expected
turnout of more than 100 vehicles.
FocusRush supports the Ford Focus Community including Focaljet.com and FocusFanatics.com and encourages new Focus owners to check out those communities. When it
comes to Southern California, check out the Rush often for local focus friendly car shows, tech sessions, dyno days, and other events.
FocusRush.net is an officially licensed Ford club.
As of October 2011, the original FocusRush region of Hampton Roads Virginia is back on the site! After more than 4 years away, original focusrush.com member Dan R. has
decided to bring back the original Rush!
